Spoke to my tiger cub last night, seems he'd be willing to start flyn' with dad if I bought him a cheap combo. If he gets any good I'll build a rod for him and put an Orvis on it.

Hatchery fish have no fear of color and flash. That is the one significant difference I see. BUT there is a catch, if they are spooked, then go back to flies you might use for natives.

Yep, mine too, Tiger Cub, and now the little dickens wants to hunt all the sudden. But I'm trying to get him on the fly rod for trout and break away from that power bait, was gonna be a challenge...

Ultra chenille, I use red white and pink. Red works best hands down. Use a lighter to taper the ends.

The trick to that place is distance, the further you go the more fish you find, because the holes closest to the bridge are wiped clean in just a couple of days. I've walked back about 300 yards, but...

Got a pick for you. Not much but it gives you an idea. Off to the right in the pic is the entrance by the bridge, and as you can see the tree line depicts where the creek is going.
