All mono all the time for me.
I have a hard time believing that fluoro makes enough difference with any of it's suppose-ed superior characteristics to justify it's use

Actually what you're looking for at the line-to-leader connection is a positive "transfer of power" from the line to the leader.
Whatever the diameter of the leader butt is has very little to do...

With a wood rasp or kitchen grater, you grate the wine bottle cork just as if you were grating a chunk of parmesan cheese.

Then mix the cork "dust" with the wood glue to get the right paste...

Not even I will use a glass rod in the salt. They're just too heavy. At least my Orvis Golden Eagle is. I just don't care to do that anymore.
