I wondered how long until you piped up about this one. What's your thoughts on other buck bugs and bombers? I have yet to find a fly I wouldn't try to get my first salmo salar.

I've never fished the pickerel but we have tons around here. I hear they are common in the high 20's to mid 30" range.

Welcome to using 2 hands on your rod. Trust me your shoulders will thank you after a day of casting. I love my spey rod.

This is our annual trip. No spey here in this video but this was before I got my spey rod. Beauty brookies in the spring and summer and great salmon in the fall.

We only have Garter snakes here in NB. They are constrictors that eat mice and frogs. That said I still am terrified of snakes even these ones.

I've cast the H2 in that size and it was a dream. With that said I would suggest the Hardy rods.

I use a 13' 9 wt spey and a 9'9wt single hand for atlantics so a 10wt sounds about right for their bigger cousin.

I have Greys other 13' 8/9 weight and use the airflo rage compact and it is great. It is a compromise between the scandi and skajit.
