+ 1 for the SA mastery trout series . The Cortland Sylk is nice too but a little light,I usally go one weight up IE a 5# line for a 4# rod . In my humble opinion you can't beat a real Silk line ...

I would start with a 6# line and work my way up from that . I doubt very much your rod will have a lower line rating than a 6# .

Get yourself a Phoenix silk line DT5# you will not be disappointed .
They cost a fair bit more than plastic lines but if you look after it ,it will last you a long long time !
