Default Foam ant

Hook Daiichi 1190-12
Black 2mm foam
Black hackle
Black fine rubber legs.
Wings: grey packing rope (unfolded)

Great tying Trygve as usual...I had seen a similar pattern but it was blue
I tied some but wasn't very successful...I'll try yours which should be far better.If you could post a step by step and tell me what "grey packing rope is it would be very kind.Thanks for sharing.

Nice! I finally started tying with foam a month ago, and that's all I've been
fishing with since.

I did tie some small black beetles, and most of them didn't have an indicator.
While they may have been very tough to see, the takes were not.

Good looking foam ant Trygve. Thank you for the recipe. I have never seen that colored packing rope, but I'm going to look for some. It unfolds almost like small swiss straw.
