Default The Corniehaugh

This is an old pattern that I'm enamoured with. It looks simple but getting the tinsel to lay flat and even is a bear! The original calls for red cheeks, I had nothing in the red department so I subed with Amherst rump, the few feathers with red tips. Hope you enjoy this pattern as much as I do!

wt bash: Very nice work, I know what you mean, getting that tinsel to lay flat in even takes some real attention to detail, congrats!

Thank you gents! Now I know this will sound flat out nuts to some but I almost can't bare the thought of swinging this fly to Ohio steelhead. To me it deserves a shot at an Atlantic Salmon. If I play my cards right, it may get the oppertunity to take a swim in Canadian waters this summer, if worse comes to worst maybe I'll luck out on the Salmon in NY if Canada proves out of reach.

Another Nice One Bill! Hope you can make the Canadian trip; Sault Ste Marie isn't that far and the end of June can be good for Atlantics...
