I laughed when I read that one. It's absolutely true. I have, when attempting flies with lots of materials, done the 5 or 6 wraps. Then when putting the next material on, back off 3 or 4 turns and put the next stuff on. Works pretty well for me.

As with all things, practice makes perfect, or at least close enough to fish with.
