JP, is the material twisted into a cord like twine? Like you, I don't really know what to call it...

It looks like the tape of a mini cassette...but it's not brown....just had an idea....this one might be good to tie caddis wings

Great fly JP and cool use of what's on hand. Does every tier look at things through the day with that "could it be used at the vise" view? I know I do.
