Bead: green glass bead
hackle: gunie fowl dyed yellow/green
Rib: rainbow tinsel (from craft store)

I've never fished a mouse pattern for trout but I sure enjoy tyin them on and bass fishing. I used to use a mono weed guard and drag them over hydrila pads. Explosive results.

This is a couple of the few ties between swap flies
And the result of a trip to the craft store on the way home from the local fishing store (where I found feathers the fly shop dont stock)

Chris,

I like the mouse pattern a lot (would be nice to see what it looks like with the tail).

You'll also find that J-P is a fan of using green and other color glass beads for some of his flies; such as his Chub Special.
