My friend Ard wanted me to tie a salmon fly for Alaska ....although I've never fished for salmonso I tied one with the materials I could find.I'll repost it in the share patterns thread to get some specialist's opinions....the boss doesn't want any comments on the other thread.
Alaskan Tsarina
Hook size 2
Rabbit hair( white and orange)
Cristal hair(pearl)
Orange dubbing,gold tinsel
Hen feather
Plastic orange bead

Here's a rookie opinion. That fly is beautiful. It has to get the job done. It looks like something going after an egg. Plus, it's going to have lots of action.

I don't know if it would catch a Salmon but it would certainly work on the big Rainbows.
