I use clear Cellire. Takes 3 coats, but great finish. Doesn't turn milky and keeps the head locked down and looking good. I remember Veverka saying it is the only thing he uses in his book. Good enough for him, yada yada.

I used Black Out by Sally's Hard As Nails. Can't beat the price either.

I don't guess I've ever seen it for sale. I might use some of it on my best flies.

google Cellire Varnish. I use their #1 clear. And also their thinner for same. I'd give you a website where you can buy it, but i don't think that's allowed if they are not a sponsor. I don't know whether any of the sponsors handle it. Its a little uncommon, but worth the effort to find it.
