Default Silli skin Crawfish Fly

Materials:
1/0 stinger hook with a slight bend back
Rubber leg "antenna"
Flash
Olive thread
Olive marabou
Olive hackle
Olive chenille
Flatten large barbel cut in half
Silli Skin
Sharpie Markers
It all starts with the "Claws"
wet the marabou and half hitch

Antenna,flash,chenille,hackle and half a flatten barbel tied in
then the "claws" tied in at bent location of hook.

Silli Skin cut and colored with Sharpies

Silli Skin attached and rear craw tail flap tucked in above hook eye

This was posted in response the the "Lurker" thread..lol
the coral fish was an identifier used for a FOTM contest.

James, I really like this fly. I want to try tying a few of these ASAP, but no guarantees that it will look anywhere near as good as yours!

This thing is smokin!!!

Couple questions as I'm just beginning fly tying and want to use them on bass.

1) What is silli skin?

2) How did you attach it to the fly?

3) When you tucked it under did you secure the silli skin at the eye?

4) With only half a barbell how did you tie it in?

5) Any particular color of flash used?

6) I assume that the chenille and hackle are wrapped like a wooly bugger?

sorry for the questions but this thing is friggin perfect!!

James as mentioned you have a beaut Crayfish Pattern,one day hopefully I can tie a few.

Thanks Ben..
Here is a SBS.
Mash a large dumbel with a hammer.
Bend a 1/0 stinger hook
Tie in half a dumbel and super glue it.

the claws are marabou..wet feather and place end on vice
half hitch all the way down..add color with a Sharpie marker.

Tie in olive chenille,olive hackle and rubber leg antennas.

Trim top of hackle and leave lower for legs

Trim and color Sili Skin..tuck only the tail part under itself and super glue
the rest.

also tied an Albino for fun..called "Cherry on top"
