Spring Olives
I started the winter fly dressing classes last week and the first session was spring olives tied on my new hooks i got manufactured last month.
As you can see they are curved hooks and the hooking power of these are incredible. cdc pheasant tail  dark olive  brown olive

Laurie: Beautiful work as always! Those new hooks look a little like the Klinkhamer style, at any rate, very nice looking.

Hi Laurie.
Your Hooks are very interesting,I can visualise The Hooking Power with The Wide Gapes,they also look a strong Hook. What sizes are they in & will you be marketting them? Brian.

All those flies look downright lethal, and I am certainly a fan of that hook pattern. It'd likely be a good emerger hook too.

Gorgeous flies! Are those biot bodies?
One thing I have always found annoying is that many hooks available today do not have a wide enough gap to allow for a thick hackle, foam underbody, etc..... and it looks like those hooks you had made would solve that problem! Providing they are fine and light enough to allow a minimalist pattern to float.
