I decided to do a few spiders last night
hook size 14 barbless buzzer hook
thread flo- white 16/0
body dyed red peacock
hackle dyed picric jackdaw crown
body finished with my resin

hook size 12 barbless buzzer hook
thread flo-white 16/0
body dyed picric mallard quill
hackle picric dyed jackdaw crown

don,t have them on my site yet, the red peacock are 1.50 ech and the stripped duck quill dyed is 1.50 for a pack of 10 and the dyed jackdaw crowns are 2.50 each

Laurie: Awesome looking spiders, that dyed picric hackle turned out great and really contrasts well with both bodies.

For a contrast to the soft hackle types, I tie mine out of foam and use them as an indicator. Bigger fish will sometimes hammer them even into deep fall/winter.
The red post wasn't too popular, so I switched to a orange McFly foam post instead. Dubbing body versions work as well, but are more difficult to float.

I finish off the bodies with my uv resin,brings out the segment effect brilliantly ,also protects the quill
