Hey Dan, & Eunan,
I'm not familiar with this hook you're talking about, are they real long shanks? I ask because I used to make the flies on Mustad 3665-A hooks in 4X to 8X long and over the years went much shorter. I believe the longer the shank the more often the hook works lose unless you just drag the fish straight to shore when hooked. The longer shank hooks form a long leaver and as the fish changes directions or jumps that was when I lost many a real beauty. Just say'en,
