Well that one really got me. Had to tie both a wet and then a dry-emerger, both on a Finney medium hook #12 (B170 equivalent).
Materials for wet as per my Teacher...
For the emerger,
Tail: CDL dark pardo (Whiting rooster cape)
abdomen: UV light olive ice dub
Claret CDC (Finney's)
Hackle: dirty golden badger (Whiting H-M Silver), tied in by the tip and folded back before and while wrapping, should float in the surface film.
