Some chironomids I tied up last night

Stocking the box for next year as I never got out much this year. Here a few patterns I had to tie up as I was running low on them

Looking like trout slayers for sure, nice work, but don't wait until next year, midges work great all year long, especially in the winter months. Get them wet and put them to the test. :D

Those are beautiful. I would certainly eat them if I was down there looking for a meal. :fishing:

The Brit's call them 'Buzzers' and in a size 8 or 10 they work very well for river Steelhead fishing. Well weighted fly in front and one of these things 12-18 inches behind.

BANG!

I've tried them in a size 12 hook, but just not enough metal there to really grab/hold on.
