black conehead bunny leech

these are size 6 conehead bunny leeches I make. tie in black rabbit strip. some green flashabou. then crosscut strip of black. wrap up hook shank to front and tie off. add more green flashabou. half hitch, whip finish and some head cement. then go fish! am gonna try to get me some bass on these when I go.

Nice looking Leech.

I tie up some similar to that but they are tube fly style.
The biggest differences are in the total length of the fly &
size of the hook. ( Long fly, small hook )

I love using rabbit/zonker strips they have excellent
movement in the water. I've tied some with flesh color
rabbit & white marabou that I've had big salmon take.
