I've been tying these no-names in different color combinations over the last few days using white, chartreuse, natural, or black feathers and bucktail and teased acrylic wings. Basically a deceiver with the added splash of the acrylic wing, this one is tied on a #2 Gamakatsu hook:

Very nice. What is the head made from? It almost looks like it's built from thread with a clear coating on it.

Thanks, Ant! A good call in that the head is indeed built up of thread and "epoxied" with SHHAN.

For reference, the overall length of this fly is 3". I meant to include that in my original post. I've had luck using these blunted deceiver-style flies in appropriate lengths for bream, crappie, bass, trout, and even channel catfish! My favorite base colors are white and chartreuse for bright days, natural and furnace for cloudy conditions, and black and purple after dark.
