made this with size 6 streamer hooks and some white zonker rabbit strip and a conehead and I used pearl ice dubbing on the front and pulled some of it out to flow with the fly! I am gonna catch me a steelie on these I just know it! well hopefully Click the image to open in full size.

thanks mcnerney. if I do I will post the pix tomorrow. I have some in black also. also made a couple sts buggers and finally i think I got the palmering of the hackle down.

i'm a little late thanking you for the links you provided for combos and the beginners link. I don't know what those fly's you mde were intended for but I would love to try one in the Ohio river.I guess after I learn casting , fishing reels/line/ tippet/ etc. etc. etc. I can try my hand at tying then

this should imitate a minnow or baitfish. they are one of the easiest flies to tie also. no problem on the links! good luck and if ya got any questions let me know

didn't get a steelie on it but almost landed a huge bass that spit the hook when he jumped outta the water!
