Orange Tip; A Trout & Salmon Fly
This is one of my AK. patterns, it works very well as an attractor fly in the swift water. The fly is fished greased line style as a streamer.
Attachment 2101Click thumb for enlargement; Hook: Dai-Riki #810 size #2 this is a ring eye hook Thread: Red / orange Tail: Golden pheasant tippet Butt: Black ostrich herl Body: Medium flat gold tinsel Rib: Large oval gold tinsel Underwing: Red squirrel Wings: One pair dyed orange saddle hackles with a pair of light brown saddles slightly longer over top of the orange Cheeks: Jungle cock Collar: Orange hackle wound three or four turns, fairly long Head: Finished with orange lacquer paint
