Ya know Larry with all the big stuff I tie I hardly pay attention to other styles of flies and that's just not right. I was trolling through the Patterns threads and spotted this set of flies. Once I got looking at them I realized how hard it is to make something that small and yet keep your work so neat.

These are great ties but the one on the bottom is my style!

Larry, really nice! Is the rib on your Mercury Midges thread or wire?

Ard: Thanks, your correct, I wasn't able to keep the wraps nearly that neat before I purchased a magnifier. FrankB recommended one that was made to attach to the vertical post on my Peak Vise and that has made a world of difference in my ability to do nice wraps. Getting old sucks, the eyesight just isn't what it used to be 20 years ago!

HRD: That is wire wrap on the Mercury Midges, so of the photos look a little weird because I have the camera max'd out in macro mode, probably should have backed off just a little and got a tad cleaner image.

PT: Have seeing the high quality of ties you post here that is a real compliment, thanks!

Larry
