Default Wrightsville beach, NC

I'm working on a project in Raleigh, and thinking of getting over to the coast for some flats fishing. Is it possible to get to the flats without a boat? Any places around Wrightsville Beach or Wilmington that are accessible?

From my limited experience there really isnt much fishing to be had without a boat. There are a couple places but as always those easy to get to places are fished regularly.

It's not to hard to find someone with a boat at a bar, buy them a few beers, and get a ride with them.

Just a few drinks and you have a boat trip and a new friend.
