Default Wilson Creek, NC 3-5-11

i fished wilson creek this past saturday with a couple of good friends, and despite the constant rain we had a heck of a first trip of the year. the wilson had been stocked earlier in the week, and there were fish everywhere and only a handful of fisherman to take advantage of them. between the 3 of us we caught well over 20 fish, and 3 that were pushing 20" and over. with all the rain there were no bugs in the air to be found, we had tried nymphs with no luck, so we switched to my favorite streamer a small white zonker and it was on! these are a few pics one of the guys took, i will try and get a few more up later showing a couple more nice size fish we caught. if you're looking to get out for the first time this year and knock the rust off, then i would suggest making a trip to the wilson. the fish are definitely in there and they are hungary!
