Question scuds in North Carolina

Should you use SCUDS in N.C. this time of year and if not what should I use for trout? I fish in N.C. in the foothills and right at the VA. border.

If the river has scuds in it they will work year around. Other flies you might try would be zebra midges and woolybuggers and midges
good luck

Hi mcc1961,

I agree with Bear. If there are scuds in the river they will be a primary food source and should work all year long.
