Default GSMNP trip, 1st overnight

Well we've returned from beating the ever living s#%t out of ourselves. Nothing but a little of our pride hurt...

I ate this one, my first trout caught for meat since I was about 10. It was tasty, maybe cause the alternative was hotdogs. Yeah it was almost an illegal fish, but I'm confident made the 7" mark. I would have liked a larger one, but that didn't happen.

The water is a little up right now making this trek extremely challenging. We elected to leave the next morning and fished a high up TN speck stream instead. I feel like a horse dragged me up the hill by a rope tied around my leg.
