Welcome to the forum. SC and NC have some great trout fishing spots. Although I have been to many, I usually end up going to one of two places. Either Burrells Ford on the Chatooga or the Eastatoe river. Burrells is my go to for many reasons. First, it is close to where I live. Second, it is absolutely stunning and perfect for camping. Third, the river is stalk consistently. You have the option to fish stock smaller rainbow trouts below the bridge or go up to the left or right fork and try your hand at some large natural rainbows and browns. You can spin cast or fly fish and always walk out with a fish or two. I have caught 32 fish there in an afternoon once, so the fishing is AWESOME! It pretty easy to find, here is an article with Burrells and the Eastatoe on it, lemme know what you think if you end up going!
