January 4th - Appalachian Brookies

Mike: Hard to beat all that nearby fishing variety!

Don't forget the occassional hurricane rolling through to spice things up! :D

There's also the food, beauty of the country and the people...Maybe not just NC, but that part of the country always makes me happy when I visit. Some of the cities are off the hook (Savannah, Charleston, etc) and the Parkway is awesome.

I have to chuckle at this; that's generally how we console ourselves over the harsh winters up here, "well at least we don't get the hurricanes they get down south" :D

What's not to like, you are lucky to have so many species to fish for.
I'd love to catch a Bass on a fly.
