There's also the food, beauty of the country and the people...Maybe not just NC, but that part of the country always makes me happy when I visit. Some of the cities are off the hook (Savannah, Charleston, etc) and the Parkway is awesome.

I have to chuckle at this; that's generally how we console ourselves over the harsh winters up here, "well at least we don't get the hurricanes they get down south"

What's not to like, you are lucky to have so many species to fish for.
I'd love to catch a Bass on a fly.
