FYI Montana Water '13

Just returned from a weeks fishing trip in southwest Montana.....GREAT.....Water is dropping rapidly so if you are planning a trip or have one planned call ahead.... Madison, Big Hole, Beaverhead, and several others are being closed to floating at noon...water too low and warm...........

I can believe. Snow pack last winter was 60 to 70 percent of normal in most of the PNW. Only thing that's saved our 'butt' was a very cool Spring. We're beyond that now, here the predicted temp is 100 degrees for today.

Not quite noon and we're at 90 degrees.

Close to that for the last two weeks.

There's thread on this in the Rockies section..

Here's a link for Montana's FWP

Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks :: Fishing & Waterbody Restrictions, Closures & Reopenings

I think we were at a near normal year, but the snow melted early from the warm spring?
