Fantastic place to fish. I have had good luck with deceivers and clouser type patterns. Mostly stayed with color imitating bait fish (silver, olive, flash etc). I was there from mid december to mid january. Had to work for the snooks. But the sea trouts were plentiful and fun. I fished from the boat and covered a lot of ground. Talk to some local shops or possibly guides. I dont know how much the recent cold snaps has affected the fishing down there. Good luck.
