I'm the same newb also posting on the Sipsey TU forum. I'm in Pelham, which is about 20 minutes south of downtown B'ham.

My wife and I will probably go to Riverside Fly Shop this Sat morning and check things out up there. We're gear shopping right now but I will definitely contact you about fishing!!!

Hi Guys,

I've been reading the forums alot but never login and post. I'm in Oxford, MS so I've been planning on fishing the Sipsey Fork because it is only 2 hours away. I love to fish Northwest Arkansas but the rivers there are 3 to 5 hours away.

I wanted to make it to AL yesterday and today but the rain kept me away. Is there somewhere that I can find the generation schedules and is there a phone number I can call to find out how many generators are currently running?

Hey Josh,

Alabama Power does have a schedule but they don't always follow it. Here is a link to Brandon Jackson's fly shop, Riverside Fly Shop, that is right on the Sipsey. He has the schedule on his home page and he is a great source for information on the river, fishing, etc.
