ib me is on a distinguished road
Default line question

I'm wondering is it just me or is the line for tenkara just a long furled leader? At least that's what it looks like to me.

Depends, you can use a long furled leader or just a Level line which was my preference.

Me too!

When I purchase a Tenkara, I'll use it for chez nymphing. If you want to cast, then use a regular fly rod with a reel to pickup the line!

All these people trying to sell the Tenkara's are casting and tying funny knots ...... no wonder they don't catch anything? LOL

It should be used simple, like the original, and a 13' rod should always use less than 13' of leader. No ferrel needed, flouro would be fine!

If you plan on buying a tenkara rod to use for czech nymphing, do yourself a favor and save your money. Tenkara rods are designed for some specific situations and applications. Czech nymphing is not one of those applications for which a tenkara rod will perform well.
