Default first catch of the season!

wow, first three posts on this forum with plenty of views and no responses.

hit up the "lagoon" last night and it has finally warmed enough to start holding decent sized pannies.

Tossin a stone fly with a short flash tail, they couldn't get enough of it.

Can't wait for big pike, Diver dan maybe i should just plan to meet up with you to get into some pigs!!

Hi burtfishmonger,

I think Pan fish were made for a fly rod. A light rod and a big Bluegill can be a heck of a fight.

In regards to your comment about views and no comments. We have way more viewers than we do posters or members on any one day. Some of our best members admit to lurking for a good time before joining.

Hi Burt

Nice to hear your fishing is heating up. Just starting to get going here in the Rockies too. You planning to go with Dan for big pike using a panfish rod?
