Default northwoods fishing..again!

my friends and i were fishing up on two lakes in vilas county, wisconsin for the last four days. weather was kind of bad, but the fishing was good. i caught my first northern on a woolly bugger pattern i tied!. caught some nice largies two! the bass were hitting topwater like crazy.

Outstanding!

Great shots, i love that pic of the bass with the popper down it's mouth.

Looks like you had an great time and those fish are chunks.

But your buddy doesn't look to happy though---- it looks like you just told him about all that money he'll soon be spending on rods, lines, fly tying vises, etc now that he's hooked on fly fishing...

My friend owns a cabin on a lake in vilas county, wisconsin. We go up there multiple times of the year. What lakes were you fishing? Good looking fish. I was up there two weeks ago muskie fly fishing on the Wisconsin river? Had three follows and one on until my tippet broke.

we were on david lake (no public access) and harris lake (public access). yeah, my friends were musky fishing, but they had no luck, not even a follow!but we saw someone catch a nice 44" musky. what lake were you fishing?

Nice fish!!!! Would love to catch one of those bass. Or the northern.............OR the 44" 'Ski. LOL. Very good work. Topwater is my favorite action watsoever. Flyrod, Conventional or watever type of gear.

In six days we fished the following.

Squirrel Lake
Wisconsin River
Little Spider Lake
Deep Lake


We caught all our muskies wading on the Wisconsin River. Fly casting!
