Dan all you got to do now is catch one like this. I know you live in an area where there are plenty of them and I know you can do it. You have to try it.

Cahill, that is one awesome carp! I haven't seen any quite that big where I'm fishing. I have a bay that I meant to check out but didn't get a chance to; it's on my list for next summer. I got mine on a 6wt when I was out for a day of Smallie fishing.

I hate to say this but that is my second biggest this year and taped out at exactly 34 inches. The largest was 36 1/8 inches. Really wish I had my camera out for a shot but when you are by yourself standing waist deep in a river what can you do. The weight of that fish would have been over 30 lbs. I usually use a 9 weight all the time.
