Nice pigs there Joni, and rounded out with the bucketmouth to boot! Did the bass take the egg too, that would be a new one to see!

It did. I tried to get it in the picture. Hanging out the corner of the mouth.

Here is my largest bass on a fly rod so far. I have caught a ton of them, just not this big. I have been an avid bass fisherman for years and I feel like I am more productive with a fly rod than with my casting gear. I have probably caught close to 30 bass in the last couple weeks, all top water with the exception of a few that were on clousers. I hate laying bass on the ground like this but I was alone and really wanted a picture that would show the size of it. He put up a great fight on my 4wt. The reel is a 5/6wt Lamson Guru. Second picture is the wifey with her largest on a fly rod as well.

It been a while since i posted a fish i caught so i thought i would add this nice little guy to the thread.

Last week i was on an extended camping vacation and was up in the Gorge. Found a great flat on the Columbia and managed to land this guy after a 10+ min battle.

Saturday was a great day for me on the fly --- started throwing the big muskie flies early and conditions were great, had several interested and finally one lost his mind early on the fly. The strike was epic, threw water several feet in the air and had a big head shake boatside for my fishing buddy to witness. The fish completely launched out of the water once and then plenty more thrashing, splashing goodness followed.
After a quick measurement and photos, the fish was returned and kicked hard as it shot back into the depths.
