Thanks guys! more warm pics: some warmouth & shiners (I'm not sure how the name of this fish, sometimes they bite on the dry fly in March)

Nice pics all.

Itchmesir: Beautiful pics, but crappie have very thin and fragile mouths, it is best not to hold them horizontal unless you support them from the bottom as well. Something to keep in mind for your next pics.

@Argail... Are both of those Warmouths? First one looks like it... 2nd I'm not positive.. maybe a hybrid? Either way great looking fish

Funny thing about Warmouths they all look so different even from the same body of water. That's why so many people have problems with identification. They are beautiful fish! Usually when I'm not sure I count dorsal and anal spines ( 10 and 3 respectively) and look for an orange spot for males at the base of the dorsal. If I went by coloration I would go crazy with all the variations! I think they are both Warmouths. To make it more confusing many areas call warmouths rock bass !

Im going to echo the Warmouth comments, I think thats what those are, the dark bodies with the red ear tag say warmouth to me.
