It was a beast and a real surprise from this pond. For reference, the boards on that dock are 2x6's. I will tell you this, I was VERY leary about getting my fingers near its chompers to remove my fly.

That is a MONSTER!! And I'm pretty sure it's a Green not a hybrid! What a fish!! Love monster sunfish of any kind!!

On further thought it is definately a Green Sunfish and probably a tippet record at that unless you used a 20lb tippet!

Whoa! Never even considered the record thing. This fish was caught 7 or 8 years ago out of my buddy's back yard pond.
