Wilson is a pretty lake. Only got to fish it twice. The second time, the guy I was with got a LM, a SM, and a peacock in the same day. Hawaii is not a place I would have thought about smallies. I just can't tear myself away from the bones when I'm out that way, though.

My wife mentioned one place, where she ride on an ATV, in childhood. Today I checked this place! Pond overgrown with a hint of beaver habitat. Put my favorite popper & start try the water. Аfter few casts I see movement, I stop the popper & boom:

using google satellite map found pond in the wilderness where no one lives. today I have been there, scared group of deer, ducks do not pay attention to me, covering up the footprints a brave bunny crossed the pond...
