tried out the new popper: [url]http://www.theflyfishingforum.com/forums/general-fly-tying-discussions/90263-what-have-you-been-tying-today-254.
I also use google maps to find new spots. I have a map profile saved and I mark off spots I've been to and spots I want to go to with different color pins. Its really a great way to find new water.

Argail,

You found a great spot. I would make that place a regular habit. Fantastic pictures!

It is a rare day when I do not visit google maps at least once. This resource is amazing. A truly remarkable tool.

Even if there is a road or trail to a place I want to go it is always best to program it in and goto. I commonly just open google maps on my phone to see the aerial of where I am driving or hiking.

I will also print off an area I will be in and use that in conjunction with my maps and gps. With all that said.

My boys killed the frogs this summer on hoppers.

And a few little lmb's.

Local ponds are always great! My year has been all trout, and a few turtles.

Probably the last warmwater trip of the year for me. Wife & kids and I spent the weekend of the 12th camping with my sister at a lake where we've gone more years than not since we were little kids. The smallmouth were suspended, sluggish, and hard to find -- caught two very nice ones, but had to work for them. The pickerel, on the other hand, were very aggressive. Here's a handsome 20 incher.

Nice fish! Those things are very under-rated!

HOLY MOSES! That had to be a lot of fun. I've caught a few 9 to 9.5 inch bream. Nothing that thick, though. Wow.
