Generally I try to get bigger ones. Got this little fella while walleye fishing.

the fish that i first chased with a flyrod as a boy. i remember following the small streams by my house and casting lil dry flies to these fiesty fish. now i've resurged my love for these beautiful fish....to me, they are the warmwater brookie. what they lack in size they make up for in fight and color.

caught this dude on a dubbing nymph and 4wt glass

Seems like it's still too cold for the bass to participate. Ice out was just last week so the fishing is still slow. I did get a handful of gills to play along, this is the first of the season.

Caught this on my 2wt yesterday. Have posted it in another thread here to see what species and they said butterfly mirror koi. Wanted to include it here as well once I knew.

visited black lake, strange swamped place... caught a few perches, bushes, something big & strong, but fly come out (maybe a gar...)
