Grasscarp certainly loves dryflies, well at least the ones in my pond. For some reason they have a strong liking for red tag pattern. Other patterns that work will be Adams, Scuds and even Crazy Charlies and mini Clousers (prefereably in green/chartreuse/olive), perhaps it mimics the grass they're eating.

They're definitely not 100% vegans as sometimes I see them on frenzy probably munching on lil' critters.

Nice pictures fajars! What kind of fly did you get the carp in the second picture on. Looks like an egg pattern of some type.

I wonder if the differences in Triploid Grassies versus the non Triploids show up in a willingness to eat other than vegetation or if it's just driven by available food sources?

Believe it or not, I have caught numerous grass carp on blue damselflies in June in some lakes in Wyoming.
