Default Panfish and bass are coming to life!

Over the last two weeks, I've fished most of the days and the fish have definitely gone active as the water warms. Strikes have gone from just noticing the line was floating too low in the water because a fish was hanging on, to jolts, thumps, and "grab and run."

Bluegills were eager yesterday evening. Several keepers on a Chernobyl ant with a hare's ear nymph as a dropper. Most fish came on the nymph.

Congrats! I have yet to notice much top water action just yet. Our waters were breaching the 60 * mark.... but then there was a few cold rains-- either put them back down or helped to turn the lakes over-- haven't quite decided, yet.

But, yes I can agree on the nymphs. Black woolies and white woolies have been productive for me as well. I'm getting anxious for 'hopper season'....

Don't you have a sermon to be prepping for instead of fishing...?

Bass were hitting poppers big time yesterday. They were in a very agressive mood as were the pickerel and bluegills. Now if the salt would just turn on things would be great.

I have been having some good success on bluegills lately on black/white foam spiders, black/olive buggers, and some sort of dry fly that I can't name. It's getting good in North West TN.
