Well I haven't caught any pike on fly yet, but it is one of the species I will most definitely been targetting this year! However, some of the tips that I have got from the guys at my local fishing club is that you can use 60lb mono/fluorocarbon as well and pike will not slice through it. They have a technique (that at the moment I can't remember) to reduce the memory and it works pretty well...
