Question Another bluegill fly question - sources?

hello everyone!
I am new here and am looking for a good, *inexpensive* (under $1 each) source for some of the bluegill flies referred to in this forum in some of the other posts. I need to stock my fly box as I am getting back into flyfishing after a long haitus and don't have that much $$ to spend. (Years ago I tied my own flies but had to sell my kit and now I really don't have the time or $$ to get back into it.)
I've seen some flies on ebay - any of you gone that route? How's the quality? Other vendors?

Some of the patterns I'm thinking are:
-Pheasant tail nymph (bead head and non)
-Prince nymph (bead head and non)
-Fox (red) squirrel nymph (bead head and non)
-Copper John
-Soft hackle rubber legged spider
-Bully Spider
-others???

I really appreciate the discussions I've read so far on many different topics - I've learned a lot just in the past few days since I've joined. I look forward to any input ya'll might have!
Cheers!
Chris

IMHO,
Forget those flies.
Go to walmart
Get 3 Size 10 Accardo Poppers
the 2 "Bluegill Special" Yellow and White
the "Spook"
You should be able to wear bluegill out
on those 3 flies.
Plus it's not going to be to long before it
get's cold again.
Get 1 Black Wooly Bugger if your feeling froggy.
Keep in mind that bluegill are not rocket scientists.
They'll eat anything.
I have tried all kinds of other flies both made by
me and purchased. That "bluegill special"
Accardo popper will wear them out all summer long
For those 4 flies your talking $10 plus tax.
Just my $.02

If you are dead set on buying these specific flies
Try out www.blueflycafe.com

Shoot, send me $50 and I will tie you 125 flies that will take 'gills on any given day. Thats less that 0.50 cents each. Basically, it will pay for my materials.

i've done the blueflycafe route. fast shipping and very nice flies. although i doubt they could come anywhere close to fshfanatic's offer. if it was me personally i'd take him up on that offer. because you can't beat that with a stick. just my 2 cents worth.

I agree, I'm going to take him and others up on their offers for a great deal on some flies!

I'm new to this post, but, I've done a lot of 'gill fishing and love it.
Favorite: 1.] Yellow Popping bug [black, chart., green, etc.] I tie these with cork, on #8, 10, or 12 kink hooks. like White or black hackle -- or white / black chenile. Tail -- Rubber -- then Put 4 Rubber legs through body.
2.] Sponge Spider // floating and sinking -- black, yellow, white.
3.] Black Gnat
4.] Most any "Adams" type dry fly.

One Guy said 'Gills will eat anything. He's right. Got any old Bass worms? Take one bass worm -- cut about 3/8" of it and put on a #10 hook with some rubber hackle for the tail and rubber hackle for legs --- and let it sink -- very good!!! [I know, I know, ---it's not a traditional fly --- but the fish eat them anyway!!]
Good luck,
In His Love,
Hot Shot
