That would be my luck! I am going out of town for the 4th and I think we are planning on going July 14th-15th to hopefully correspond with the next full moon.

Thanks Mark.
We are blessed for sure with some amazing smallie water.
Fishing in general on the TN river is a blast, whether your fishing Guntersville, Wheeler, Wilson or the headwaters. ;^)
Best Regards,

Waders, if you ever need a fishing partner, i'm always ready! i would love to learn more about fishing up here in North AL. Tons of fish I have never caught before: rockbass, stripers, smallmouth, etc! Sent you a PM.

Not to fret. They will still be there! The hatch is just beginning and will only grow as the days get hotter and they continue to run water. You will be able to find them on the south bank closer to the dam below town creek. Hatches will occur into August. They are the gray brown smaller flies right now and at dusk the clouds of flies can be amazing. Be sure to wear clear goggles or a shield when running at dark/sunset, otherwise you will end up with bugs in the nose, eyes and mouth.
