Default Re: Bullhead on the fly

I've got one catfish on a streamer over the years,...and that's one more than I wanted. Fish should have scales,...not skin and whiskers. Bullhead....the rivers can keep 'em. My mother's baked bullhead "recipe" was enough to sour me on those fish for ever. I grew up hating fishing because it meant a terrible bullhead dinner that night. Thankfully I eventually learned fish can be beautiful, live in beautiful water, and taste much better than unseasoned baked bullhead from the Toussaint River.

Several Channels on top water but never a Bullhead. I've caught em on a hair mouse and various top water popper types.
