Default Yellow Bullhead?

Caught this little one on a nymph this morning but I'm not 100% sure on my ID.
Actually the first one I've ever caught out of the local lake.

Have seen bullheads this color, figured it was the water clarity making the difference.

use to see bulls like this in northern Iowa, the lake was known for polution years ago, so that may of had something to do with the color, neat to catch one on the fly. Mike

Yellow Bullhead Ohio has a good id page on the Yellows. At any rate, Congrats as you are among a select few as they seldom hit lures and flies. Nice fish and although I've caught dozens of Yellows, I've never got one quite that golden! !

Seen a ton of different bullheads. Brown, Black , Green and Yellow. All the Yellow Bullheads I've ever seen never seen a yellow colored one. Cool looking fish. And if it's chin barbels are pale it probably is a Yellow Bullhead.
