Default mixed bag at the lake today

Spent a few hours fishing nymphs (mostly pheasant tail but tied with turkey tail feathers) today. Trying out the new Echo Solo 8'6" 4wt rod. So far I'm impressed with this rod. It does a decent job in the wind, handles 12-14" stocked rainbows easily, and makes roll casts easily and accurately.

Forgot my good camera, but nothing really worthy of display anyway.
Caught a few crappie, several bluegill, a small channel cat , and a couple stocked trout.
Kept the trout, all the rest were released.

Looks like that 4 letter word (work) is going to mess up my fishing tomorrow, but I'm taking advantage of the unusually warm weather here at every opportunity.

mike,
sounds like a good way to break in the new 4 weight, plus a nice trout dinner to boot
